Policy work

Scott’s legal background has led him to participate heavily in policy development and advocacy in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). This means working with standards development organizations like ASTM, ANSI, the North Central Texas Council of Governments, and also serving on the AUVSI Advocacy Committee. The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International is the largest and longest standing trade association for professionals in the space. Working with AUVSI means being up to date on the latest regulatory and policy developments in the industry in the US and around the world.

Industry Commentary

As an active author on social media, Scott provides immense insight on industry trends, business developments, and safe operations and public acceptance for advanced drone usage. He has participated in roundtables for conferences, met with various government offices and representatives about client interests, and is directing future movements in UAS.
